Now that the official release date is upon us, I wanted to look at the new plastic in the Halo box set from Spartan Games. So, without further ado, here they are;
These are the four different sprues you get in the starter box, plus the Base sprue, which I'm going to show and then skip over.
Yeah, it's some bases.
Now, moving onto exciting shiny things, let's look at each type of sprue individually;
As you can see for yourself, all the sprues are Copyright Microsoft and Spartan Games, making the provenance very obvious and direct. And why not? They are very nicely cast, crisp detail and reasonable attachment points - not massively think ones that will end up damaging parts on removal. The way the subjects have been handled is very nice, and the splits are quite clever - especially on the Covenant models. First impressions are very positive, and if this is indicative of Spartan's ventures into plastics, then more power to them!
Next post I'll actually build the models up so we can see some finished ships!
